Talma, a leader in airport services in Latin America and a member of Grupo Sandoval, received IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) certification from the International International Air Transport Association (IATA) as a head office (provider) and for its station in Lima, Peru.
Talma has achieved its sixth consecutive ISAGO certification since 2010 by meeting and exceeding the rigorous requirements established by IATA, which include an evaluation of operational processes, policies and procedures to the highest quality standards of this global organization. Both certifications cover Organization and Management, Load Control, Passenger and Baggage Handling, Aircraft Handling and Loading, Aircraft Ground Movement, Cargo and Mail Handling, ensuring implementation of best practices to maintain quality always when providing operational safety, as well as efficiency in cargo handling and ground handling.
The first certification, as a provider recognizes Talma Peru as the Head Office and Talma subsidiaries' stations in Mexico, Ecuador and Colombia, specifically at Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX), Felipe Angeles International Airport (NLU), Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO), Jose Joaquin de Olmedo International Airport (GYE), El Dorado International Airport (BOG), Alfonso Bonilla International Airport (CLO) and Jose Maria Cordova International Airport (MDE). The second ISAGO certification, for the Lima, Peru station, accredits compliance with IATA standards for its operations at Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM).
“Talma has demonstrated its commitment to the best practices in the industry and to continual improvement, giving permanent priority to safe and efficient airport service operations. This, to ensure the welfare of its customers and employees," said Martin La Rosa, IATA country manager in Peru and Bolivia.
"Obtaining ISAGO certifications for the sixth time is a testament to the hard work and constant dedication of our great team. At Talma, we strive to offer safe, fast and efficient airport services to world-class standards, and this renewal is evidence of our commitment to quality, excellence and operational safety," said Arturo Cassinelli, Talma's corporate general manager.
