Sheltair Aviation continues to expand its FBO network’s hangar facilities, this time with much-needed individual T-hangar units at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB).
The massive structure—totaling more than 34,500 square feet—will include 30 T-hangars able to accommodate single and light twin aircraft. The hangar complex will be situated on nearly 4.5 acres of premier apron space and will accommodate its tenants and their passengers with 37 passenger-vehicle parking spaces and two restrooms.
"The ability to accommodate an additional 30 smaller aircraft with new t-hangar facilities will be an invaluable asset to our Melbourne operation,” said Todd Anderson, Chief Operating Officer of Sheltair. "As the region’s businesses thrive, so does the airport. We’re dedicated to meeting its needs every step of the way.”
The hangar structure will conveniently be situated adjacent to the airfield’s control tower with easy access to Sheltair’s FBO terminal. The project is expected to take approximately 15 months to complete. Those interested in leasing space in advance are encouraged to contact Amanda Herx, Property Manager, at [email protected].
Minutes away from the Space Coast, Sheltair’s award-winning FBO connects guests with a wide array of water activities, championship golf courses, the state’s largest manatee and sea turtle habitats, and four downtown districts filled with prime shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
