The Henchman B1 Mechanical Flyaway Kit was developed with a leading airline to meet their requirements.
Fitted into a wheeled, water-resistant hard case, which is also Skydrol-resistant, and virtually indestructible, the tool selection includes sockets, wrenches, crowfoot wrenches, screwdrivers, hex keys, pliers, cutters, striking tools and inspection tools.
The blue high-density foam with the black hard top layer provides visual tool control to avoid issues with foreign object debris (FOD). In addition to blue and black, other color options are available.
The travel kit combines premium quality tool brands, including Stahlwille, Proto, Wiha and Knipex, which are ideally suited to the mechanical maintenance of many types of aircraft.
Tool brands can be swapped out and the kit can be customized to specific requirements – for example imperial spanners to metric, a round inspection mirror to a square, or a torch light to a headlamp.
"Due to being under the maximum baggage restrictions, the Mechanical Flyaway Kit can be checked in as luggage. Its contents are suitable for a wide range of aircraft, including fixed and rotary wing, making the kit extremely versatile – ideal for any travelling aircraft mechanic," said Brendan Chambers, Sales Manager Australia.
The kit has been continuously improved and refined since the first version was assembled in June 2018.
The “Mechkit” comes in three standard versions – imperial with Proto tools, imperial with Stahlwille tools or a combination of metric and imperial tools – and can be customized to your specific needs.
“Our customers find that being able to 'cherry pick' the most preferred tools to make up a kit fitted out with our premium foam inserts is what sets Henchman Toolkits apart,” added Nathan Symington, Sales Manager US.
Toolkit dimensions are 581 mm by 381 mm by 455 mm. Weight is 27 kg.
